Admissions

The Indira Institute of Technology and Sciences is administered by the Director of the Indira Educational Society under the direct supervision of the Board of Governors (BOG), headed by the Chairman. The institute is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Planning and Development of the institute are overseen by the Chairman (Planning & Co-ordination), while student affairs are managed by the Principal (Students’ Affairs). The Chairman (Administration) is responsible for administrative matters assigned by the Director and also coordinates the institute’s consultancy activities.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification for admission into the B.Tech program at Indira Institute of Technology and Sciences is a pass in the Intermediate (10+2) examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, or any other equivalent examination recognized by the government, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Admissions to the institute are conducted along with other engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test (EAPCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

  • 70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener, based on merit in the EAPCET (A-Category).
  • 30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).
  • In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted into second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.
